Here, Still
by The Collaborative Theatre Making Ensemble MA/MFA, Rose Bruford College
“Here, it is still.
Here, we are present.
How much longer do we have?
Millions of years from now, a disease will plague the known universe. It will act swiftly, wiping out families, communities, entire planets. It will be seemingly incurable. In the midst of this devastating plague, there will be a miraculous discovery. It will threaten the future and everything we know.”
In this new devised work, The Collaborative Theatre Making Ensemble explored what we discover when we spend time in stillness.
Using a rich landscape of live music, spoken word, and architectural storytelling, Here, Still painted a fantastical picture of a world steeped in divisive politics striving for hope. The ensemble pulled from their diverse backgrounds to create a work that invites the audience to participate in radical imagination, radical hope, and radical togetherness.
